According to Armstrong, where did he spend his youth, and why he didn't feel as if he fit in?

Lance grew up in Richardson and Plano, suburbs of Dallas, Texas. At times, he found it difficult to fit in. Most of his peers seemed to have a deep, almost fanatical passion for football. Lance tried the sport, but quickly concluded it wasn't for him. At times, he felt like a misfit in his community, unable to comprehend the fervor behind football.
