Upon realizing football is not for him, Lance gives running a try. He enters a running race and wins. He then tries to join the swim team, but struggles as a swimmer. Undaunted, he sticks with it and eventually becomes a strong swimmer. Lance starts riding his bicycle to swim practice. When he gets a little older, he takes up triathlons, which combine running, swimming, and cycling, and does extremely well in these competitions.
