Pedro Gonzalez is a gentle, plainspoken farmer. He is also Patria's husband. The couple meets when she washes his feet during a church ceremony. He is described as a man who loves his family, as well as his land. He risks both, however, when Patria involves him in the underground movement. Pedro is imprisoned and loses his farm when caught. After his release, he remarries and regains his land, but he is never resumes farming.
