In Chapter 15, why does Jim wish he could go somewhere new and start all over?

Jim is walking through the orchard and wishes he could go somewhere he is not known. He wants to take time to look at things. He is disappointed that when everything is over he will still not know how an apple grows and still not know the countryside.
