Conner's Mother (Impulse) is a piece of work. She is cold and calculating, having little or no emotion or affection for her son. She finds his whole suicide attempt an embarassment. She is very much into image and reputation, so the social stigma of rehab upsets her. When all of the parents are required to send letters to their children before the wilderness challenge, hers is perfunctory and meaningless.
