Who is Dan Lazard from Iceberg and what is their importance?

Dan Lazard is employed as Disneyland's security director. Over the course of the novel, Lazard assists NIA and Pitt by giving them access to the back of the house of Disneyland. Because of this, they are able to catch Rondheim and his henchman before they could do any real damage.
