Did Chief Joseph ever stop fighting for his home and people?

In truth, Chief Joseph never stopped fighting his homeland and people. Although he never again was involved in armed conflict, he did not stop using the skill for which he was best known—his ability to speak clearly and convincingly about Native American conditions—as a means of fighting against prejudice, misconception, and injustice.
