Who is Corporal Bassin Kee from The Rise of Endymion and what is their importance?

Corporal Kee is one of the original members of Father Captain DeSoya's team. When we are first introduced to his character, Kee has been impriosned in a cryogenic lockup for three years, where he has been tortured for information about the events that occured on God's Grove.
