Importance of The Truck

The truck symbolizes carelessness and a lack of preparation. Despite the harsh winter weather of the day, and despite the trucks broken windshield and broken heater, the three men decide to use the truck as transportation. Later, as rank and Tub are driving Kenny to the hospital, Tub and Kenny have to stop repeatedly to warm themselves in roadside establishments.
