The story is structured in a linear fashion, beginning with Tub waiting for Frank and Kenny to arrive, and ending with Tub and Frank becoming lost while driving Kenny to the hospital. The main inciting event of the story is the hunting trip in which the three main characters participate. However, the more significant narrative and thematic elements of the story arise from the interactive dynamics between the three characters, thereby showcasing their specific flaws. Frank and Kenny’s ridicule of Tub, for instance, showcases ideas of insensitivity, as does the fact that Frank and Kenny do not wait for Tub when Tub lags behind.
