The life of a writer is a recurring idea. Barbara Kingsolver was trained as a biologist but later focused much of her attention on a writing career. However, her interest in nature never waned; in fact, it grew as she attained more knowledge about conservation and endangered species. Her talent in writing, however, allowed her to articulate her views and share her knowledge about the need for everyone to focus on conservation as a global concern.
