Who is Philip 'Torchie' Grieg from Hidden Talents and what is their importance?

Philip 'Torchie' Grieg is Martin's roommate. He's been placed at Edgeview because fires have a habit of appearing around him. Torchie is rarely aware of the fires until they become blazes, and he often denies having lit them.

As Martin gets to know Torchie, he comes to realize that Torchie is not aware he is lighting fires. Torchie is telepyric.... he can light fires with his mind. Martin urges Torchie to gain control over this ability by purposely lighting fires, so that he can learn how he does it. That way, he can avoid doing it accidentally. In the end, Torchie learns that he can both light and extinguish fires.
