The narrator's room in Satipur City is above a cloth shop. She shares an outdoor bathroom and has a view of the bazaar from the only window in her room. She sleeps in a sleeping bag, has a short desk that she uses to work on her journal and Olivia's letters. It's a sparse room, and she says that the view of the bazaar negates any need to hang pictures.
