According to her March 8th journal entry, a typical day for the narrator involves waking up to the temple bells, buying food at the bazaar, cooking her breakfast and then getting to work on her journals and reading Olivia's letters. Sometimes she will go to the post office, which is located in the room that was once Olivia's bedroom. She also spends an increasing amount of time with Inder Lal who is becoming her friend.
