Kelolo is Keoki Kanakoa's father. He is described as a tall man, who is six feet seven inches tall. He is married to Malama, but he is not her only husband. When Abner tells him that he must leave Malama's house he refuses, preferring to stay and care for her. After her death, Kelolo and Keoki follow her Christian burial by taking her body and burning it according to custom. They then hide the body, so their actions will not be discovered.
