Would Harrision Be Considered a Martyr? Why or Why Not?

I believe that Harrison was a martyr, because he stood up for his beliefs when no one else would. He publically annouced his opposition to the views of society and allowed anyone who would stand up with him to be glorified. Then, in the end he is killed for what he believed, which is the definition of a martyr.
