Rooms represent the compartments or segments of every person's experience as they move through life. As the kids were literally moving from their regular classroom into the ARTT room, they were about to experience something completely different and gain a whole new set of important, life-changing experiences. Haley realizes that all through life, everyone is continually changing rooms whether they realize it at the time or not. She also believes that brains have rooms where people can store memories and lock them away so they no longer have to think about them.
