Chief Pazzi is described as a man who is smart, tough, and willing to sell his honor. His weak spot is his beautiful young and ever-needy wife, of whose affections he is never quite certain. He is a bit of a comical character and at one point is said resemble the character Wile E. Coyote in the Roadrunner cartoons.
