Hamlet accuses his mother and new father of not knowing the truth about Denmark or his (Hamlet's) character. They think Hamlet is mad because he is so sad. Hamlet is really accusing Gertrude and Claudius of hypocrisy. He says that they are the ones that should be in mourning for Hamlet Sr. but they are really not.
