Guerilla Warfare is primarily written as a manual for starting and conducting a guerilla war. Hence its perspective is from the point of view of Che trying to communicate key ideas to a student who wants to learn the art of guerilla war. Che uses examples from the Cuban situation, with which he is most familiar, but whenever possible, Che attempts to generalize his lesson.
