Who is Lois from the novel, Gone So Long?

In her 80s, Lois is grandmother to Susan, and mother to Linda and Paul. Lois and her former husband Gerry used to own an arcade at a local amusement park in Massachusetts prior to Linda's murder. After Daniel kills Linda, Lois and Gerry's relationship dissolves. Paul becomes distant and Lois is left to raise Susan largely on her own. She moves her granddaughter to Florida after hearing Daniel has been released from prison.
