Persephone from Goddesses in Everywoman: A New Psychology of Women is the daughter of Demeter. She was taken to the underworld and made Hades's bride. She's important because her story is about getting trapped in an unwilling relationship and yet she manages to work out a deal within it that in a way can also make her happy, even if it's just temporary. She ound a way to get out and be happy.
