A Coffee, with a capital ā€œCā€, is an event in Maycomb during the time frame of the book. Aunt Alexandra hosts a Coffee for Jean Louise during her visit home from New York. Young women of the community are invited for coffee and refreshments, and they spend the time talking to Jean Louise and each other about their lives. Jean Louise hates the event but thanks Aunt Alexandra for hosting it in her honor.
