Edgar is Rolph's son. Not long after his father's death, Edgar delivers Rolph's letter to Brian. He laments his father's foolishness, believing he deserved to be killed.

In Rolph's letter, Rolph explains that he shared his secret with no one. He could not even tell Edgar, because his son has always been obsessed with the rules and would have reported him.
