Who is Terri in the novel, Ghost?

Terri Cranshaw is Ghost's mother. She works as a nurse in a hospital in the city, and she is utterly devoted to providing for her son. Terri worries that Ghost may end up like his father, and she wants him to remain focused on academics and improving his life. Over the course of the novel, she comes to realize that track could be a way for Ghost to do this, so she consents to Ghost running.
