How does Usain Bolt become important to Ghost?

Coach Brody tells Ghost that Usain Bolt holds the world record for the fastest 100-meter sprint, in 9.58 seconds. Ghost is not impressed by the idea of the time—until he tries it himself, and posts a 12.5 second time for the 100-meter. When he tries again, he is basically hooked as a runner.
