Coffee House is a Bangalore café that has been in business for about a hundred years. Through the years, a bar and restaurant have been added to the establishment. It is described as light and airy inside, a place where people can hang out for hours and not be disturbed or rushed from the premises. The narrator is a frequent customer, using the space as a shelter from domestic disputes. He revers a Coffee House waiter named Vincent (almost as if he were a god) for his ability to seemingly understand his customers without much necessary communication.
