What is the narrator point of view in Gabriela, Clove and Cinnamon by Jorge Amado?

The majority of the novel is narrated in the third person from Nacib's point of view. There are, however, a few sections in which Nacib is not present, thus, he cannot narrate. These sections are written as a third person narrative.
