Who is Cassandra?

Cassandra is Chula's older sister. She is opinionated, somewhat selfish, frequently domineering, and ultimately judgmental - of Chula, of their mother, and of Petrona. Her youthful practicality, which often shades into cynicism, is a powerful and potent contrast to the imagination and naïveté of Chula.
