Frightful matures through the book and becomes more aware of her surroundings. Frightful feeds and cares for Chup's children, helping them to take to the wild. Frightful later mates with 426, and has children with him. She is just as devoted a mother to her own children as she was to Chup's, feeding for them, caring for them, and finally, helping them take wing in the wild.
