Why did Ruth call Idgie a Bee Charmer?

| Because in the beginning of the novel/ movie, Idgie thought she would be smart and show Ruth that she knew how to get hunny for an old tree that was swamingwith bees. what she didnt know was that it scared Ruth more than anything, but Idgie did this to charm her....thus "bee-charmer"
