I read it a long time ago but I remember thinking that the novel was nothing like the Hollywood representation of Frankenstein that I had grown up with as a kid. Mary Shelly's Frankenstein was a book about what it means to be human and questions the very nature of humanity. I remember being quite affected by the book when I first read it in university.
