Steve is a professor. He is Renee's boyfriend when Renee initially takes the Flock to see Lynn, and he initially discounted the idea of a multiple personality diagnosis. Over time, he ultimately came face-to-face with three of them over the course of a few minutes and realized the diagnosis was true. The couple never married.
