Charlie Chaplin was, perhaps, one of the most famous physical comedians ever. His persona, in live theater, was that of a drunken audience patron, which led to the creation of his most well-known character, the Little Tramp. Harold Lloyd had a penchant for bespectacled characters who served as the foil for many different people, while Harry Langdon developed the character of an overgrown baby.
