American filmmaker, Stanley Kubrick, was the most important filmmakers to emerge during the 1960s. Kubrick's specialty was genre films that were based on actual events. After completing "Spartacus" in 1961, Kubrick moved to Great Britain. He was applauded for approaching controversial topics head on and created visual experiences using special effects.
