In the story, The Burlington Northern, Southbound, a man thoughtlessly compares the woman of his dreams to a train. Thinking himself romantic, he sees the train as something beautiful and exciting.... like the woman. For the woman, however, the imagery of his "riding her home" like a train is, not surprisingly, unappealing.
