Jenny Egan is a lawyer who works as a juvenile public defender in Baltimore. She grew up in difficult circumstances, but she managed to attend college and law school. She realized that her whiteness likely played a role in her good fortune, and she is now a strong advocate for social justice. During the Freddie Gray protests, Jenny Egan worked with other lawyers and social justice groups to secure the release of over 100 unjustly arrested protesters. She still works with other lawyers and organizations to hold Baltimore’s police, prisons, and government accountable for unconstitutional actions.
