Harlan Sanders is a man of many diverse occupations, Sanders finally owned a gas station and served food at a table in the back of his station. His fried chicken became locally famous, and he eventually added a motel where it was served. Selling the station and motel to pay off debt, Sanders traveled the south, selling his fried chicken recipe to restaurants. Today, Kentucky Fried Chicken is one of the largest fast food chains around the world.
