Who is Birdie?

Birdie is Joaquin's girlfriend and love interest. When Joaquin visits her house and discovers that she has loving parents who keep baby pictures of her, he fears that she cannot provide her with the love and security that she is used to, and breaks up with her. Birdie is perplexed at Joaqiun for breaking up with her, which hurts her even more. He does not communicate the reason why they break up, which leaves her in the dark.
