Who is Publius from Fall of the Roman Republic and what is their importance?

Publius' is Crassus' son. During a battle against the Parthians, Publius orders his servant to take his life rather than allow him to be captured. The Parthians take Publius' head, place it on a spike, and parade it in fron of Roman troops.
