Sharon Sedaris from Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim is David's alcoholic mother. She is obsesed with television and when they get cable it becomes even worse. One winter she locks all of her children out in the snow so that she can enjoy her soaps. She is trapped in her marriage because of the day and age that it is and with 6 children, there is no where for her to go. She is often very critical of her children and this does lasting damange to them.
