What is the author's style in Dragon by Clive Cussler?

Cussler uses a traditional story-telling style, with some authorial narration giving the reader very brief insights into the thoughts of some of the characters, but these are extremely brief. The story moves around the world, from place to place, but does follow a chronological pathway, making it easy to follow the story provided the reader pays attention to where the action is taking place and who the characters are.
