Deep Wizardry is a novel filled with adventure, danger, spells and magic. Kit and Nita, young wizards still learning their craft but at the height of their power, are on vacation with Nita's family in Long Beach when the call for assistance comes. Nita, able to talk to all manner of beasts, learns from a dolphin that a whale wizard is in distress and is beached. The story that follows is one of bravery and chivalry as Nita is poised to perform the part of the 'Silent One' in the Song of Twelve which is necessary to bind the Lone Power once more, and prevent him from making New York City into another Atlantis.
