Jackie de Bellefort, Death on the Nile, is Linnet's best friend. She asks Linnet to help her fiance, Simon, get a job so that they can have the money to get married. However, Simon seduces Linnet and they run off and get married. When they go on their honeymoon, Jackie dogs them, showing up everywhere that they are. Later, it comes out that she and Simon orchestrated Linnet's marriage to Simon and her death.
