Who is Andrey Ivanovitch Tyentyetnikov from Dead Souls and what is their importance?

Andrey Ivanovitch Tyentyetnikov is a young landowner. He is unmarried and was once a scholar but left to tend to his family's estate. Unfortunately, he isn't cut out for tending the the family home and servants, and he becomes so upset by his failure that he decides he will not ever leave bed again. It is not until Tchitchikov comes to visit that Andrey gets out of bed.
