Iris is David's 16-year-old cousin. She is married to Manfred and at Hulligan's Wharf with everyone else. Iris seems very unhappy with Manfred. When Iris starts confiding in Dot about her problems, the two start a lesbian affair. Iris and Dot live together after returning to the mainland, but break up shortly after Mrs. Capon's body is recovered.
