Jamie first visited New York City with his parents. He had been disappointed that Jean didn’t allow him to visit the city with his drama club that was taking a group trip to the Big Apple. Jamie got over his anger when he arrived in the city. He felt it was where he belonged. He had his first cocktail at the age of 14 in the famous Russian Tea Room where celebrities were everywhere. He vowed to make New York City his home, which he did as soon as he graduated from college.
