How does the author use foreshadowing in Crank?

In the section titled, Dad Had to Go to Work through He Knew it, Too, Hopkins plays with words, naming Kristina's white knight Adam. It is ironic that Adam is the man in the Christian Bible who originally caused the fall of man from God's grace, foreshadowing the idea that it will be this Adam, who will cause the fall of Kristina from her "good girl" status.
