Who is Holly Thorne from Cold Fire and what is their importance?

Holly Thorne is an entertainment reporter for the Press in Portland. She likes to walk, and she has been a reporter for twelve years. Holly suffers from occasional bouts of self-deprecation, a direct result of her failure to become the Pulitzer Prize winning author she had hopes to be. After Holly meets Jim Ironheart her life changes, and she pursues a career making stories about courage and hope, wonder and amazement.
