Henry James Ironheart was Jim's grandfather. He took him in at the age of ten, and raised him after his parents were killed. After his parents death, Jim had been withdrawn and difficult to reach. Later, when Henry found Lena at the bottom of the stair in the windmill, something inside of him snapped. In his grief, he blamed Jim, accusing him of pushing her down the stairs, and causing Jim to retreat into himself further still. Henry was later filled with anguish and remorse over his behavior with Jim after Lena died.
